Advisors and Counselors
Teresa Arnold is the middle school advisor with KSVA/ISKS who joined K12 in 2016. Mrs. Arnold has her master’s degree in social work, a BA in sociology with a minor in psychology that were obtained from Wichita State University. Mrs. Arnold has 19 years combined experience working with the school system.
Leatha Hall is the Kindergarten through eighth grade counselor. Ms. Hall has been with KSVA/ISKS since 2014. Prior to joining our school, she taught reading to K-5th grade. Ms. Hall attended MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, for her BA in organizational leadership and her master's in counseling degree.
Melissa Eckler is a Family Academic Support Liaison (FASL) who joined KSVA/ISKS in 2016. Most of her 20+ years in education were spent as an early childhood classroom teacher, with a few years in PK-8 administration. She earned a BA in liberal arts, PK-4 teaching certificate, M.S.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, and graduate certificate in educational foundations.
Laura Jordan is a Family Academic Support Liaison and joined K12 this year. Mrs. Jordan's background is social work where she spent time in case management and four years in the school setting. Mrs. Jordan earned her undergraduate from Fort Hays State University and master’s degree from Newman University.
Darlene Moseley is the Family Compliance Liaison for the Kansas Schools. She has been with K12 since 2011. She previously worked with the counseling department at Texas Virtual Academy and recently moved to Kansas where she transferred to Kansas Virtual/Insight School of Kansas.
Derek Mathiesen is a registrar for KSVA and ISKA who joined K12 in 2018. Derek has worked in education for six years: three years at Bonner Springs School District and three at Raytown Quality School District. Derek holds a bachelor's degree in social science with an education concentration from Ashford University.
