Special Education Teachers and Staff
Deana Aurner is an elementary special education professional who began working with K12 in 2018. She comes to K12 with 9 years paraprofessional experience. Deana was the previous owner of LOL Daycare before she began her career working in the education system.
Jillian Edmundson is the ISKS/KSVA Kindergarten-12th grade Gifted Facilitator and HS Special Populations teacher. She joined the K12 team in the 2013-2014 school year. She brings more than 10 years of experience in education, community service, and student development. Mrs. Edmundson earned a BA in education from University of Northern Colorado, and a MS in gifted and in special education from Fort Hays State University. She also holds certificates in Early Childhood Education and ESL. Mrs. Edmundson is passionate about education and fully believes in every student she works with.
Jen Rodriguez teaches Kindergarten through 5th grade special education. This is her 4th year at KSVA. She started out teaching 1st grade and then switched to special education. For her educational background, she has a bachelor's in early childhood and elementary education, and a master's in special education from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. In her home life, she has two wild little boys and a baby girl. She loves to bike, kayak, and be outdoors as much as possible! She lives in a smaller town, right in the middle of Nebraska.
