Testing and Assessment FAQs
What tests will my child be required to take?
Kansas Virtual Academy (KSVA) students are required to take the following tests:
- All grades: K12 lesson and unit assessments
- Grades 3–6: Kansas-state standardized reading and math tests
- Grade 4: Kansas-state standardized science tests
- Grade 6: Kansas-state standardized social studies tests
- Other standardized tests may be added as required
Will my child have to participate in state testing?
Yes. As public school students, all KSVA students must participate in all state-mandated testing. This is a mandatory requirement.
